Sloth's Territory located in La Fortuna de San Carlos, is a natural paradise where you can enjoy various day and night experiences, as well as bird watching, where you can experience the experience of observing a diversity of species such as hummingbirds, tanagers, parrots, honeycreepers, cinnamon woodpeckers, flycatchers, birds, monkeys, among others.
In Sloth's Territory, you can observe 2 and 3-toed sloths and a great variety of birds and amphibians. It is a natural jewel of 13 hectares, a private reserve, protected and maintained by the Rodriguez Perez Family, a traditional Costa Rican family. Ten of these hectares are currently in the process of reforestation. The remaining 3 hectares are a true paradise with vibrant flora and fauna and the permanent habitat of many types of animals such as sloths, opossums, frogs, birds, and more. It also has a trail of 1300 meters, extending over the banks of the Habana River, in El Tanque de La Fortuna. Without a doubt, in Sloth's Territory you can live an incredible experience.

Keilor Rodríguez Pérez
My name is Keilor Rodríguez Pérez, I have been a co-founder of Sloth's Territory since 2018. I am 25 years old, originally from La Fortuna de San Carlos. I am very proud of the growth we have achieved with the support of my family and each of our visitors. It makes me happy to know that we are contributing positively to nature with this project.
Oscar Rodríguez
I am Oscar Rodríguez Castro, co-founder of Sloth's Territory since its creation in 2018. I am 59 years old, and I was born and raised in La Fortuna de San Carlos. I have always had a great attachment to nature, and now, because of this project, I have managed to express it and acquire new knowledge. I am excited to be able to share this project with each of our visitors. We look forward to welcoming you!
